This is a peer-mentoring project designed to help early career academics in theoretical physics and physics-inspired mathematics to be productive and psychologically resilient in an increasingly competitive academic environment with increasingly limited resources allocated to these fields.
Beginning early 2026, we hope to organize a monthly seminar focusing on long-term goals, and strategic career planning of scientific research. There will be organized talks focusing on topics such as
How to find positions where the intellectual merits of these areas are highly regarded and respected?
How to ethically and strategically become a reputable leader of my field?
How to build an inner circle of trusted mentors and allies?
How to set up a productivity system to meet market expectations and a separate system for pure intellectualism?
How to guide my action as a scientist for the rest of my lifetime, so that my work can leave a true legacy that impacts mathematics of the next century?
If you wish to join these discussions, please contact me privately.
Peer-mentoring membership will be highly selective. Evaluation will be made based on compatibility with the greater aims of this project.
